This 5 star hotel about 40 minutes’ drive from the North of Johannesburg is looking for a candidate who has a BCom with financial accounting as a major. You would need to manage 6 people. They are looking for an innovative individual who is analytical with good communication skills. A minimum of 8 years of the hotel experience is required. Pastel Evolution experience is preferred but not essential. This position has become vacant due to the incumbent being transferred within the group and has now become urgent. Based in Germiston this company has now been in existence for over 100 years – it is the most profitable company in a larger group of companies that is listed on the JSE. They have appointed a Young Managing director in 2016 and then followed this by appointing a young Financial Director in 2018. A new position now exits but will only be made available for the correct candidate. They would like to appoint a candidate from one of the following environments – either a Massmart, a Cashbuild, a manufacturing or a fast-paced first world manufacturing and distribution environment. They have the most advanced systems in place. You need to be a qualified CA(SA) with exposure to an ERP package, capable of managing a team of about ten people. A leader is required who is capable of inspiring people. The managing director and the financial directors are both CAs(SA) and will both be involved in the interview process. This international manufacturing environment is operating in the luxury goods space. The need a candidate who has SAP experience and manufacturing experience. You have to be at a strategic level of CIMA. Good understanding of costing and financial accounting necessary because this role would encompass both. This company operates across three continents.
