We need someone from the #FMCG environment or from the Retail space. You need to understand large volumes. You need to understand stock creditors and debtors. This is a tough environment that requires a person who can travel. It is a successful organization that is growing by acquisition. They are looking for an executive, not an accountant. This is a position for a candidate who is an entrepreneur. Not a role for a number cruncher. You need to be an extremely strong individual who understands the bones of a business. If you understand retail that would be excellent. If you understand hardware, and hardware distribution, ( Like Builders would sell ) even better. The company had a turnover of R800 million and now it is in the billions. This is an exciting role, but would only suit a very confident individual who enjoys a challenge. 20 minutes from Lenasia area this company is going to list in about 3 years. Because of the travel involved the position is possibly better suited to a man, but this is not to say the company will not consider a female. You just need to be aware that the company is not looking for an office person. You need to go out and visit their subsidiaries. You will have 25 people reporting to you. New position because the group is looking for fresh talent. It is a VERY senior role. You need to have a relevant degree, or Credit management 1, 2, and 3 with at least 10 years experience.
