We are seeking an experienced and qualified Financial Manager to join our team based in Boksburg. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in financial management, ideally with at least 5 years of relevant experience and a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. An MBA or similar qualification would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full financial management function of the company.

Report directly to the CFO and provide timely and accurate financial reporting.

Lead budgeting and forecasting activities.

Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Prepare and present financial reports to upper executives.

This is a large international group looking for a candidate with a BCom and SAICA articles at least three years of post-article experience in a supervisory capacity.
Qualifications and Experience:

• Financial reporting experience knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and full IFRS.
• You will manage a team of 7.
• Manage the full general ledge.
• Approve journals and payments.
• Enforce company controls and policies.
• Train department staff.
• Review VAT returns and management of Tax.
• Company secretarial work.

You will report into the international holding company compiling the Financial statements and consolidating information from 4 separate entities. A friendly approachable calm collected person is ideally suited to this environment.

This position will start in June 2024. It does not require a #BEE candidate and the multinational will consider a retired individual or a consultant who would like to fulfil a 6-month contract. They are not however negotiable in terms of their requirements.
Requirements:

• Extensive experience with IFRS 16 and IFRS 9
• Strong background in sales and margin reporting
• Qualified CASA (Chartered Accountant South Africa)
• Minimum of 5 years' group accounting experience in a large corporate environment
• Proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance
• Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance is a must
• Solid understanding of statutory requirements
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
