Financial services company is looking for an extremely experienced management accountant. You would need to be a business partner for a very business division which generates a great deal of business. Management Accounting, Variance analysis and commentary would need to be your strong points. It is essential that you have a very good understanding of the business area, the figures the risks and the opportunities. Month-end checking of actuals to the forecast and processing of re-allocations and accruals. Strategic involvement: what can be improved, how do we increase the margin, and grow the revenue-generating area. The building of strong relationships with business leaders. Forecasting (monthly) and attending the monthly forecast meetings. Revenue walks (part of forecasts) to be updated monthly. This is really the make-up of the revenue (new, lost, organic) and need good insight into the business. Understanding the profitability of certain of the large clients. This is not a position for a junior person. You need to be someone who is capable of building relationships with the business and share the information that is needed. You need to be energetic and be capable of adding value. This would not be an ideal position for a candidate who is too young because you have to work with people who are non-financial people and often do not understand the financial side of things. Based in the North of Johannesburg this position is open to everyone and is not a position reserved for BEE candidates. They need a candidate to start working urgently.
