This is an opportunity for a BCom articles candidate from a smaller firm in Cape town or a SAIPA articles clerk to move into a financial accounting role.
You might have a year post article experience. The company is a Johannesburg company with operations in Cape town. Their head office has a large team of fully qualified CA(SA)s. You will continue to learn in a structured environment. You will gain exposure to the SAP ERP package and the FMCG environment. You need to have a strong energetic can-do attitude. You need to come from a Distribution or (service of equipment) industry. This company is looking for a Financial Manager who can hit the ground running. They have acquired a new acquisition (division). They are looking for a strong candidate who is capable of integration this new acquisition into the group at large. 55 percent of your time you will fulfil a standard financial management role. The other 45 % of the time you will initially need to speak to and deal with the people in operations giving them advice and assistance. Explain issues to nonfinancial people / management. The full division will be integrated into the shared services head office environment. Initially you would be working independently but you would later recruit a team to report to you. A CA(SA) could be suitable or a BCom with years of experience as a financial manager. You would need to project manage the new acquisition. Ensure compliance with accounting requirements. Take responsibility for automating processes. Prepare and submit annual tax returns, participate in annual audit, responsible for completion of annual statements, participate in budgeting and forecasting. This posititon is based near Faerie Glen and Siler Lakes in Pretoria. The company is extremely successful and offers you the opportunity to work remotely from home. You will only need to go into the offices two days a week and even then, it is only necessary to attend meetings on those days. Ideally you have your SAIPA or SAICA articles your BCom and some post article experience or you have part qualification and 8 years of accounting experience. In the time, you have worked in accounting. You must have dealt with the external auditors. If you come from a financial services background this would be ideal, but it is not essential. You will deal with three African countries, but you will not be required to travel to these countries. You need to at least be capable of doing books to trial balance and have pastel experience or similar. You will need to prepare the audit papers in advance.
This is a position for a person who is happy to move to Vryburg. Vryburg is a small town and unless you are used to a small town it would be very used to adjust to the environment. . They are looking for someone who has BCom articles with post article experience. A candidate who has a BCom and years of financial experience. Three of which are in a management / supervisory role. You will look after three branches each with a team and report up to Johannesburg. The position is financial, but you need to be someone who enjoys being hands on. Pastel and SAP would be ideal.
BCom Accounting must have strong VAT and TAX submission experience. Audit experience if you do not have this experience, you can be trained but it would be ideal if you have this.
