A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join its finance team in Pretoria West.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a candidate with strong manufacturing experience who enjoys working closely with operations, analysing costs, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The role offers exposure to both the factory environment and senior leadership, making it a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Develop, maintain, and analyse Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Prepare and present financial reports and budgets to executives and directors
- Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Support management with financial analysis and operational insights
- Participate in costing, inventory, and production-related financial processes
Requirements:
- Cost Accounting Diploma or BCom Degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous factory-based experience (essential)
- Experience managing or supervising staff (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of:
- Cost accounting principles
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Manufacturing and production costing
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to engage confidently with executives and senior management
