Regional Accountant | Sandton | R600 000 p.a.

A leading JSE-listed group is seeking an ambitious Regional Accountant to join its finance team in Sandton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial accounting function for the allocated region
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements
• Analyse financial performance and provide commercial insights to management
• Liaise with regional operational teams and head office
• Support external and internal audit processes

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree
• Completed SAIPA articles, or
• Completed articles at a small accounting firm with relevant post-article commercial experience, or
• Minimum 4 years’ progressive financial accounting experience within a large commercial organisation
• Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical ability
• Confident, resilient personality with the ability to challenge constructively when required
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
