Financial Manager | Krugersdorp, West Rand | R800 000 p.a.

A well-established, family-owned manufacturing business with more than 60 years of operating history is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join its team in Krugersdorp.

The company has a significant manufacturing footprint and supplies major retail groups across the African continent. Its long-standing market position provides excellent stability, while the working environment offers supportive day-to-day management within a traditionally structured business.

This is a highly operational finance role. Rather than working at a distance from the business, you will be closely involved with the manufacturing operation, with particular focus on inventory control, costing, cost of sales and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial function for the operation
• Maintain strong financial controls across the business
• Oversee inventory control and stock-related financial processes
• Manage and analyse cost of sales
• Support manufacturing costing and operational finance
• Oversee fixed assets and asset management
• Prepare and review financial and management reports
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to management
• Work closely with operational teams to identify and resolve financial issues
• Engage with major corporate retail customers and other key stakeholders

Requirements

• Relevant financial degree or qualification
• Proven Financial Management experience
• Previous manufacturing experience is highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of costing, inventory and cost of sales
• Experience working closely with operational teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Commercially astute and confident when dealing with senior stakeholders

The successful candidate will need to be highly analytical, resilient and assertive without being argumentative. You should be comfortable negotiating and engaging with large corporate retail customers while remaining composed under pressure.
