Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper | Centurion | R500 000

A large multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join its Centurion team.

This role requires someone with strong full-function financial accounting or bookkeeping experience, together with a good understanding of stock and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare flash reports and base reports
• Finalise month-end processes
• Assist with payroll-related financial processes
• Review, sign off and assist with bank reconciliations
• Maintain rental asset registers
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Assist with stock takes and prepare stock variance sheets for the Regional Financial Manager
• Complete GL reconciliations across the entire balance sheet
• Process EFT payments and maintain the cashbook
• Manage creditor payments
• Prepare and submit VAT and statutory returns
• Assist with budgets and forecasts
• Prepare year-end and audit packs
• Provide financial support to General Managers and regional branches
• Assist with internal audits

Requirements

• BCom degree or similar financial qualification
• Full-function financial accounting or senior bookkeeping experience
• Alternatively, SAIPA or SAICA articles with relevant post-article experience
• Strong understanding of stock and inventory
• Experience completing the full accounting cycle, rather than specialising in only one or two areas of the finance function
• Strong balance sheet and GL reconciliation experience
• Experience with month-end, VAT, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership of financial processes
