Project Accountant / Manager | Germiston | R800 000 p.a.

An opportunity exists for a Project Accountant / Manager to join a recognised global leader with a century-long history in South Africa.

This role provides financial and project accounting support across capital projects, while contributing to the successful execution of minor and low-risk engineering projects within a manufacturing and engineering environment.

The position combines project accounting, project governance, capital expenditure control, reporting, forecasting, project assurance and stakeholder engagement, making it well suited to a finance professional with strong project exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project accounting across capital projects
• Support the execution of minor and low-risk engineering projects
• Manage capital expenditure control
• Support project governance and assurance processes
• Prepare and maintain project reports and forecasts
• Manage project budgeting, costing and financial control
• Engage with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Support financial management across projects within the manufacturing and engineering environment

Requirements

• Degree in Financial Management or equivalent
• Professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, CA(SA), CGMA or similar would be advantageous
• Full proficiency in SAP Financial Management modules
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance and Auditing
• Experience in project budgeting, costing and control
• Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to project management systems and procedures
