An established manufacturing group in Midrand is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
With over 600 bespoke jobs running at any given time, the costing is complex and requires precision, analytical strength, and strong communication skills. The company is open to employing a more senior candidate whose expertise can be leveraged across the group.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and ensure the accuracy of all cost information

Maintain a stable and accurate costing environment

Verify the integrity of Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Provide cost analysis and insights to support operational decisions

Implement cost control and reduction strategies in line with lean manufacturing principles
Requirements:

BCom degree (CIMA qualification an advantage)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior costing role within manufacturing

Strong knowledge of Syspro

Solid understanding of IFRS, cost controls, and manufacturing best practices

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain cost insights to non-financial stakeholders
