Retail Credit Controller | Sandton | R380 000 per annum

A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Retail Credit Controller to join its finance team in Sandton. This role is suited to a candidate who understands the complexities of managing major retail accounts and buying groups, with strong experience in claims management and reconciliation.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end credit control process, working closely with internal logistics and warehouse teams to resolve delivery and invoicing issues while maintaining accurate customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full credit control function for major retail accounts

  • Handle claims management and shortage reconciliations

  • Investigate short shipments and delivery claims

  • Upload invoices and disputes onto retail customer portals

  • Reconcile and apply early payment discounts

  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to resolve delivery discrepancies

  • Prepare and manage high-volume customer statements

  • Ensure accurate reconciliation and resolution of outstanding balances

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit control managing retail accounts

  • Strong understanding of retail buying groups and retail account processes

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Experience with Syspro ERP (highly advantageous)

  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage high-volume accounts and queries
