A large and well-established group is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a recently acquired business.
This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with a strong manufacturing background who can establish robust financial controls, ensure compliance with group policies, and support the successful integration of the business into the wider organisation.
Initially, the role will require a high level of operational involvement, making it well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with the business while building strong financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function of the newly acquired business
- Implement and strengthen financial controls in line with group standards
- Ensure compliance with group financial policies and reporting requirements
- Manage and develop a team of 4 finance staff
- Prepare and review management reporting and financial information
- Support costing, inventory, and operational finance activities
- Work closely with head office on financial reporting and integration initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
Requirements:
- BCom Degree
- Part-qualified CIMA (advantageous)
- Proven Financial Management experience
- Strong experience within a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of cost accounting and costing principles (essential)
- Experience with Sage 300, Sage 200, or Sage 100 ERP systems
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercially minded with a proactive, hands-on approach
