An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Treasurer to join a leading organisation in Kempton Park.
This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the regional treasury strategy across multi-currency operations, supporting cross-border financial activities and global reporting requirements. The successful candidate will also lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, managing a team of 10 direct reports.
This position is suited to a strategic treasury professional with strong technical expertise in liquidity management, foreign exchange, regulatory compliance, and treasury transformation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the regional treasury and liquidity management strategy
- Manage foreign exchange exposure and implement hedging strategies
- Prepare treasury reports for the CEO, CFO, and global leadership teams
- Support strategic financial decision-making across regional operations
Treasury Operations
- Manage cross-border payment flows across a multi-currency banking network
- Drive treasury process improvements and automation initiatives
- Lead treasury technology integration and operational transformation
- Oversee exchange control compliance, including South African Reserve Bank (SARB) applications and renewals
- Resolve internal and external audit queries relating to treasury activities
Capital & Risk Management
- Forecast short- and long-term liquidity requirements
- Monitor foreign currency risk and market movements
- Manage the investment of surplus cash
- Ensure effective treasury controls and financial risk management
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
- Manage a team of approximately 10 direct reports
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement across the treasury function
Requirements
- Qualified Treasurer
- Minimum 5 years’ treasury experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Treasury management
- Liquidity and cash flow management
- Foreign exchange and hedging
- South African Reserve Bank (SARB) exchange control requirements
- Accounting principles and accepted financial practices
- Auditing principles and regulatory compliance
- Economic principles and financial markets
- Experience with Accpac ERP
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
